We are holding our Annual Open Evening on Friday 17th May from 6.50pm at Holgate Church.

For those of you who have been before, I’m sure that this year’s date is already in your diary and we look forward to seeing you!

For those of you who have not been before I thought it worth letting you know a bit more about it.

We run this evening once a year to celebrate the achievements and re-live some of the tales of adventure from the previous Scouting year. We also use the opportunity to circulate our annual report and accounts and confirm the membership of our trustees (‘The Exec’).

It is one of the only times in the year when all our young people come together as one Group and parents / guardians are greatly encouraged to attend to collectively support the achievements of our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers.

This year, we’ve shortened the awards section to enable a short presentation by each section on the highlights of the year.  As well as being a celebration for children in the section, we are aiming the presentations at the children / parents of children who are about to join that section.

Overall the evening gives a glimpse of the reasons why the group continue to grow.

Although, at the end of the formal presentations there will be some food / refreshments for adults and children, we would ask you to ensure your children have eaten before they attend.
