Ready for the final challenge

Over 100 young people have just returned from this year’s Group Camp. Held at Snowball Plantation, the weekend was packed with activities on a crystal maze theme. Eight teams made up of Beaver Cubs and Scouts, completed a range of physical and mental challenges including wide games, remote controlled cars, archery and air rifle shooting to earn crystals and time in the Crystal Dome at the end of the weekend.

The weekend saw all three sections working together and the leaders and young leaders were ably supported by members of our Active Support Unit. These volunteers ran all the activities, provided fantastic meals and had loads of laughs.

Over the weekend the young people showed great commitment and teamwork, despite the poor weather on the Saturday. We discovered some natural talent at Archery and Air Rifle Shooting. Saturday evening’s campfire was one to remember with some entertaining contributions from unexpected sources!

The weekend was organised by King Louie and he was supported by Bagheera. Without their hard work this fantastic camp wouldn’t have taken place. Thank you to them both.
