We currently have opportunities for Leaders: Can you inspire?
With your energy, enthusiasm and ability to inspire young people you will be responsible for making Scouting happen. Working with a small leadership team you will plan and deliver an exciting balanced programme for one of our sections with outdoor opportunities, environmental projects and a strong international element.

Opportunities for helpers and supporters: Take the first step into the future
Scouting simply would not exist without the skills and enthusiasm of thousands of adult helpers. Whether you can spare two hours a week or a day a month, we need instructors, treasurers, administrators and volunteer managers and many others who share our aim of making life better for young people. You don’t need to know everything about Scouting – we’ll provide full training, induction and ongoing support. What matters is that you are committed, have a sense of humour and a huge amount of common sense.

Take our Four Week Challenge

Would you like to…

  • Spend some quality time with your child?
  • Develop your own skills?
  • Have fun and rediscover adventure?
  • Give something back to the community?

Why not try some of the fun and adventure of Scouting for yourself? We’re now inviting you to come along to Beavers, Cubs or Scouts for four weeks. You’ll be amazed at the difference you can make and how good you’ll feel…

Week 1    Come along and see what we get up to

Week 2    Start to help out

Week 3    Get a little more involved – maybe run an activity

Week 4    By now you’ll know if Scouting is for you.

We have a wide range of flexible vacancies either supporting young people or behind the scenes. Even if you can only give an hour a month, any help is truly amazing!
